IPF hosts GlaS-A-Fuels General Assembly: Reviewing milestones and preparing for official project evaluation
By Eleni Natsi, CORE Innovation Centre (CORE IC)
The GlaS-A-Fuels consortium recently convened in Dresden, Germany, for its Month 30 (M30) General Assembly. Hosted by the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF), the meeting brought together key researchers, industry leaders, and technical partners to evaluate progress, review ongoing work packages, and set strategic milestones ahead of a project review meeting and the thorough evaluation of its results.
Advancing sustainable technologies in Dresden
As the project advances, the Dresden General Assembly provided a vital collaborative platform to review technical breakthroughs, discuss experimental results across work packages, and synchronize efforts toward large-scale objectives.
Partners exchanged vital insights, and mapped out collaborative actions to maintain strong momentum across all project fronts.
Exclusive lab tour at IPF
A key highlight of the M30 gathering was an immersive laboratory tour at the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF).
Consortium members were given a firsthand look at IPF’s cutting-edge facilities, characterization platforms, and material synthesis labs. The tour offered a deep dive into state-of-the-art polymer and materials research infrastructure, sparking dynamic technical discussions and integration potentials for the GlaS-A-Fuels project framework.
Strengthening collaboration and strategy
Beyond formal reporting sessions and technical deep dives, the assembly emphasized open dialogue and cross-work-package synergy. Project leaders addressed coordination challenges, streamlined dissemination activities, and updated plans for stakeholder engagement and standardisation metrics.
Social dinner in the heart of Dresden
To celebrate the collaborative milestone and foster informal networking, partners gathered for a project social dinner in the historic centre of Dresden. Set against the backdrop of the city's iconic architecture, the evening provided a wonderful opportunity for researchers and partners to connect personally, strengthen relationships, and toast to the continued success and shared vision of the GlaS-A-Fuels initiative.
